Oregon: Administration of EETT

State Technology Director Perspectives: Round 3

Issues on Formula Grants: Sustainability of progress to date is dependent upon continued federal funding for educational technology.

Issues on Competitive Grants: Only 52 of 198 Oregon districts are eligible to apply for the IID competitive grants. It would help if we could use free and reduced lunch rates as well as Census data to identify those districts with the greatest need. Oregon does not have state funds to support educational technology. Sustainability of the progress to date is dependent upon continued federal funding for educational technology -- not just data systems.
